About Carey Consulting Associates

Debi Carey founded Carey Consulting Associates, a medical practice management consulting company serving clients throughout the United States.  For the past 28 years, she has provided comprehensive management and support services to physicians in solo and group settings, with an emphasis on operational assessment, business plan development and implementation, strategic and facility planning, managed care contract review and negotiation, computer and technical systems, and staff development. 

In addition, she specializes in establishing practices for physicians completing their training, and those in transition from employed situations, academia or the military.  Her services are distinguished by a strong background in clinical medicine, specifically in Infection Control, Infectious Disease and Quality Assurance.  She provides staff support and training for regulatory compliance in OSHA, CLIA, ADA, and HIPAA.

A frequently invited lecturer, Ms. Carey produced seminars designed for both physicians and staff members for McGraw Hill Healthcare Education Group, and served on their Editorial Board, reviewing prospective works for publication. She authored Private Medical Practice: Getting it Started, Making it Work as a “how to” reference guide for physicians whose professional objective is private, independent medical practice.
